  1. Say that you are worried that your people skills are not going to develop in the right way, and that you want to feel more comfortable around people your own age especially for when you go to college.

  2. Bring up the private school idea as a compromise. If the reasons for homeschooling  are mainly health-related, then you could suggest discussing the issue with your doctor.

However, public schools in most areas do not offer a very complete education.  They also have many social and behavioral problems.  A good private school can be exponentially better.

  3. Here are a few reasons you could always give them:

    1. At a public school you have an interaction with a number of students of your age. You learn a lot of social skills.

    2. You compete with students of your age and feels motivated to prove yourself.

    3. This type of school system makes you practically sound. It's essential for working in a job environment.

You can convince them about your health, on grounds that being in a day school you can be with them and your health will be taken care of.

  4. Have you brought it up with them yet? That'd be the first step. Make it a discussion rather than a convince-them session.

  5. Hi,

what i said to my mom is

"you cant keep me here forever you may be able to get me academicly ready for college but not socially"

as for the health issue i went to both a public and a private school the public had a good health care/nurses program going on but the private school im now attending is better

    hope this helps
