  1. is ur mom sensitive to scents that could be the reason but if she wont even let u have the reeds maybe shes worried u will spill it on the carpet or something like that convincing parents into anything is really hard they seem to have their minds made up and thats all their is to it so i cant really give u any ideas on how to convince her but if u just want soemthing to make ur room smell good u could ask her about the glade plug in things that have the little oil bottle attached that wont fall over or spill out and u plug it in the receptacle and it smells up the room they last for like maybe a monthish or u could get one of those cones with the scented gel in them that u kinda just twist open and nothing call fall out or get on the rug but they still smell nice. i can understand i hate when my room smells and i live with my grandparents so they are super oldfashioned and think just lighting a candle will burn the housedown no matter what but i mean if they burned the house down so easily so many people wouldnt have them and there wouldnt be so many candle stores and all that it may just be a matter of ruining the furniture or rug cuz let me tell u wax is so hard to get out of anything lol but good luck try to look into other things or make a deal with ur mom or even just ask her what u could use to make ur room smell nice

  2. Tell her you won't light it, my parents agreed to that. I had a huge fight about that a wile ago.

You could also get like a glade thing so your room smells good. I got one with a fan, it's like apple or something. It smells so good.

  3. Get over it and just wait until you are old enough to have your own house to burn down.

    It's HER house, NOT yours.

  4. really you should get an old coffee can and make 4 big holes in the rime wher the lid ends and take the lid off then put the candle in and light it, its pretty and safe.

  5. Give up on the candle.  Why don't you buy one of the reed diffusers -- they are everywhere--to scent your room.  I know of 2 teenagers that left candles burning and went to school and their homes burnt down!  The dorm in college won't allow it either--my daughter's dorm used to conduct inspections without warning and you could be fined $50 if they found even an unlit candle.

  6. why wont she let you have a reed scent diffuser?...its not like your going to lite it?...maybe shes just scared that there might be an accident to where you knock it over and ruin something that she paid for. .....if you just want some scent in your room by some febreeze, or get a really cute deco bowl to match your room and fill it with a poppuri that you like. I dont think your going to be able to change her mind. if shes not letting you have a reed difuser or a candle warmer theres no way she is going to change her mind.  just wait till your abit older like 16 or 17 and ask again, if you already are that old....then i guess just wait till you move out your almost old enough. but yeah these are mu suggestions, i hope i helped. gluck.

  7. y wont she let u? how old r u?

that seems silly if u aren't even gonna melt it and just use a warmer or reeds

  8. You hear that?  Its the world smallest violin and its playing just for you

  9. There's not a whole lot you can do. It's her house, after all. I went through the same thing with my mother.

Why don't you ask her if you can have a Glade or Febreze scented plug-in? That might be a good compromise. It sounds to me like she just doesn't want your room to smell overly fruity or flowery or anything, and some of the plug-ins have very light scents that still make your room smell nice.

  10. Try some of those faux candles that have little lights in them.

  11. A candle in the bedroom can spell danger. No matter how responsible you are, if you doze off before putting the candle out, there is a chance of fire. I use to love scented candles too until I got a cat, now I have "Glade, Wisp Flameless Candles" It gives off the soft sent, and a nice soft, soothing, flickering glow of a candle. I love them and feel much safer with them. From now on, cat or no cat in the house, I will stay with Flameless Candles.

  12. You don't need one in your room.  It's a fire hazard.

  13. You need to show her that you are responsible enough to have one in your room. This is probably the reason why she won't let you.

  14. get on her about it when the lights go out

  15. you can get one of those WallFlowers. My friend got me that and it makes my room smell awesome. Just say you really want your room to smell better.

  16. whenever my mom didn't let me, i got totally angry with her. of course, like any other teenager, i lit one anyway.

with the lighters i had from when i smoked. haha.

she had no idea, though. about anything.

but anyway, the point is, i did it anyway, and she never found out.

moms don't trust us kids any more than we trust them.

    that's what i did.

i would just talk to her about it more. try and keep trying to convince her.
