  1. Well, here are the top reasons that parents choose to homeschool their kids:

    1. To provide a religious aspect on education. Public schools have become completely non religious. But with homeschooling, there are a variety of Christian (maybe Catholic too) curriculums available.

    2. To control the social influences that one is being subjected to.  Even with co-ops, clubs, etc., there is a rarity of cliques.

    3. To progress at your own pace. Ex.: There was a homeschooler who went to college at the age of 12! Of course, that is highly unrealistic, and I'm sure he was a descendant of Shakespeare. ;) But the point is, you don't have to be held back by a whole group. You can excel at your own pace.

    4. I know this is unexpected, but it frees up your parent's/s' vacation time, so you can go camping or on a road trip. We do this alot. Note: It is still easy to do school, just make sure everything doesn't get scattered!

Try pointing these out to your parents. Also, look up clubs or co-ops that you can participate in, as alot of people fear that their homeschooled child will become a homebody. *Lol* There is no worry about that as long as you just get yourself out there!

One more thing to keep in mind: there is alot of self-study required to be homeschooled. While this can become an advantage in college, where you need to self-study, it can be a disadvantage. You can lose your motivation, get off schedule, and your grades will slip. Just make sure that you are very commited, and have a set schedule that you will enforce. Of course, the schedule doesn't have to be the exact same every day, just make sure you read a certain amount of pages, put in a certain amount of time, etc.

    Hope I helped!

  2. Have you asked them yet?  If they have already said no perhaps you can find out what their objections are.    Be clear about why you want to be home schooled.  Plan your own home school 'life', research what and how you want to learn, decide how you would like it to work.  Talk with your parents about your plan and discuss how you can make it happpen.   Good luck.

  3. well if you really want to

tell them about how dangerous school is these days

    and how when you fail

they WILL now know right away

  4. Make a list of the reasons you want to homeschool and how you think it may benefit you.  Think about the materials you would want to use and how much involvement it would require of them.

Get some information about homeschooling that you can share with them.  Here is a source that may help:

Talk to your parents, and if they are hesitant, ask them if you could come up with an agreed upon trial period or a list of requirements you will meet or else return to school.

    Good luck talking with them!

  5. AHHHH im trying to do that right now just say this i  have absolutely NO friends and i feel so lonely its the same equvalent to being at home. say this also the boys at school are so rowdy and immature that its hard to concentrate and do my work please just let me do my work at home it will be so much easier and my stress level will go down i wont have to worry about a zit on my face and having to go to school and be all embarrased because ill be at home just say stuff like that i did to my mom and she is thinking about it ...

  6. it depends what its for,

if you were embarrassed there would be no way unless your parents are super nice.

But if you want to be home schooled because your school is overwhelming/ or are not getting to you let your parents know then give them the idea of homeschooling.

just remember parents think about things more when you give them details/reasons why!!!! :) good luck!

  7. if u have brother and sister just tell u r parents that u can't concentrate on u r work because of u r bro and sis. That's how i got there and they said OK u may go.

    good luck
