How do you convince your parents to let you do things?

Like going to Ft. Worth with my BFF and her family.

Gets your facts straight and don't beg or whine. Tell them that your going with adults, there will be an adult with you all the time, you'll have your cell phone on the whole time, you'll call a few times a day so they can see how you're doing, where you're staying, how long, every little detail you can think of.

When I wanted to go to the beach for a week with my friends, my mom flat out said no. But then I told her I'd have my cell, there would be an adult with us, and everything that matters to parents and they let me go.

i locked my parents out of the house until they said they would get me a kitten :D but i did also say that i would look after her myself and take responsibility for her, you just need to explain that you are getting older now and that they should be able to trust you and they sould let you take responsibility for your own actions and if it all goes wrong then yuo will learn from your mistakes etc.etc

and just tell them.. i'll be with adults.. that you know and trust. and i'll be in safe hands. can i please go with her?
