  1. I just throw it on  medium hot grill for 3-4 mins per side. Chop it up into pieces for tacos or just eat it as is with rice and beans on the side with a little salsa or guacamole. Awesome.

  2. yeah, or if ur using a grill spray it with pam i think its called, then let it sit, and keep rotating it like every 4 minutes or so, its real simple and many spices u can add, oh and to give it flavor, squeeze lemons over it while its cooking to marinate, dont be shy either when u add the loemon, the grill iwll soak it up and youll need to keep reapplying more

  3. the first about 6 answerers have absolutely no clue as to what you were talking about.

Andrea gets my vote as to the proper way to cook this super delicacy that my hubby absolutely loves and I absolutely hate making.

  4. Here is my recipe for Carne Asada Tacos

    2 pound skirt steak

    Marinade:

4 large cans diced Poblano chilies

2 Jalapeno peppers, seeded, finely chopped

    4 cloves garlic, minced

6 green onions finely chopped, with greens

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Juice of 1 lime

    1 teaspoon sugar

    1 teaspoon Mexican oregano

    1 teaspoon cumin

    1 teaspoon black pepper

    1 teaspoon kosher salt

    1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder

Combine all the marinade ingredients in a zip-lock bag. Cut the steak into 2 pieces, add to bag, seal and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.

Preheat grill to medium high heat for 15 minutes. Take meat out of refrigerator, remove from marinade, cover with plastic warp and let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. Grill each piece 6 minutes per side, for medium rare. let rest 10 minutes, slice and serve with warm tortilla shells and condiments.

  5. you must cook it in a frying pan make sure its cooked well or you won't like it keep a little bit of water in it so that it does not stick to the pan then let cool n enjoy

  6. just brown some beef cubes.  (they sell stew meat at grocery stores all ready cubed) in a skillet. once these are browned use a pack of dry brown gravy mix (for the gravy part) follow the measurements on the package. pour the water in the skillet first (pour a little extra water so you can simmer the meat without the gravy becoming too thick) then dump on the packeaged mix. simmer for about 10 min. and your done!

you can also do this in a slow cooker all day just wait till about ten min. before you serve to add the dry mix.... the longer you cook the meat the more tender it will be.

    good luck!

  7. well i usually cook it on the grill

  8. The h**l with a frying pan....Listen to me very carefully....I would thinly slice you carne asada and marinade them in lime juice, a tad of soy sauce, a sprinkle of sugar, salt, pepper, garlic. Leave that to maranade for a couple hours.  In the mean time, get your grill going.  Once your grill is fired up, throw those steaks on...then lightly brush some corn torillas with olive oil and grill those too.  Slice up the steak and top the corn tortillas with the steak. Add chopped white onions, cilantro, and red or green salsa and wallah!!! This is sooooo yummy. Try it.

  9. OK CARNE ASADA AND CARNE GUISADA ARE DIFFERENT SO DONT USE "BEEF CUBES" LIKE STEW MEAT THAT IS WHAT YOU USE TO MAKE CARNE GUISADA. CARNE ASAD USES FLANK STEAK HERE IS MY FAVE RECIPE....I MAKE IT ALL THE TIME

    Ingredients

2 pounds flank or skirt steak

    Olive oil

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

    Marinade:

    4 garlic cloves, minced

1 jalapeño chile pepper, seeded and minced

1 teaspoon freshly ground cumin seed (best to lightly toast the seeds first, then grind them)

1 large handful fresh cilantro, leaves and stems, finely chopped (great flavor in the stems)

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

    2 limes, juiced

    2 tablespoons white vinegar

    1/2 teaspoon sugar

    1/2 cup olive oil

1 Lay the flank steak in a large non-reactive bowl or baking dish. Combine marinade ingredients and pour the marinade over the steak. Make sure each piece is well coated. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-4 hours.

2 Preheat your grill over medium-high flame (you can also use a cast iron grill pan on high heat for stove-top cooking). Brush the grates with a little oil to prevent the meat from sticking. Remove the steak from the marinade. If you are cooking indoors, you may want to brush off excess marinade as the bits may burn and smoke on the hot pan. Season both sides of the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Grill the pieces for a few minutes only, on each side, depending on how thin they are, until medium rare to well done, to your preference. You may need to work in batches. Remove the steak pieces to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak across the grain on a diagonal.

(Optional) Serve with warm tortillas (flour or corn). Warm the tortillas for 30 seconds on each side in a dry skillet or on the grill, until toasty and pliable. Alternatively, you can warm tortillas in a microwave: heating just one or two at a time, place tortillas on a paper towel and microwave them for 15 to 20 seconds each on high.

(Optional) Serve with pico de gallo (fresh tomato salsa) and chopped avocados.

    Serves 4-6.

I HAVE ALSO MADE IT AND MADE BURRITOS WITH FLOUR TORTILLAS LAYED THEM ACROSS A BAKING SHEET COVERED WITH SALSA AND CHEESE AND IT MAKES A GREAT SMOTHERED BURRITO!!!!
