Okay - so I'm realllly hungry and I'm CRAVING spaghetti right now, but I'm only 14 and have no clue how to cook. My mom is asleep [considering that it is 2:22 AM] and so I can't wake her up just to ask her to cook it for me...

We do have spaghetti... but my mom doesn't let me use the stove when she's not around. I mean, I've done it before [when cooking ramen noodles - it's the only thing I know how to cook using the stove] and she doesn't seem to get mad about that anymore.

But I have a feeling she'll be a lot more mad if I try to cook spaghetti, especially if she comes downstairs and catches me.

Well, since I know how to make ramen - do you think I'd be able to cook the spaghetti? It looks like it's the same process.

Now back to the point. How do you cook spaghetti? What am I supposed to do, exactly?

  1. bring water with a few shakes of salt in it to a boil while covered. pour the spaghetti in and monitor it. it'll prob take around 10 minutes. when you think it's ready, take a piece out and throw it at a painted wall. no joke. if it sticks, it is ready. then put a colander (drainer sieve type thing, bowl with holes) in the sink. carefully carry the pot over to it and dump the water and noodles into it. the water will then drain out of the bottom. voila spaghetti.

  2. put noodles in a boiling pot of water for 3 days and then squeeze some fresh ripe tomatoes from your awesome garden (this is a must). then go to the nearest rain forest and pick the freshest basil you can find. mix it all together and your done!

  3. yes its basically the same process,

put the water in a COVERED pot on the stove on the highest heat (it goes fastest if the water you  put into the pot is already hot, and add a little salt, makes it boil faster) until it boil

once it's come to a rolling boil, put in your pasta and turn the heat down to about medium heat

then just check the noodles every couple of minutes (take one out and taste it) until it's ready - long skinny noodles usually take about 4 minutes and thicker pastas take around 10

then get a strainer (it looks like a bowl with holes in it) put it in the sink, and pour the pot into it.  Then run cool water over the pasta so it stops cooking

    drain for like 5-10 minutes.

    enjoy!

  4. Fill a pot with water then boil it on the stove. Add the spaghetti and stir untill it is soft. Then get a sieve and drain the water  from the spaghetti

  5. put ur Q in the right place?

  6. Well i think if you mom does not want you to use the stove I don't think you should attempt it. But yah cooking roman is the same thing as cooking spaghetti you just have to cook it longer until its kinda sticky and soft.

  7. Just make some ramen..

Eating spaghetti late at night isnt a good thing. .and it takes up too much time, and you'll end up waking your mum up with the sound of pots, and opening cabinets and plates and whatnot.. And the smell of food might wake her up aswell..

Just cook some tomorow ok? Heres how I cook spaghetti..

Boil some water in a kettle, and pour it into a pot on the stove. add some salt to it, turn the stove on and let the water boil rapidly. Then add the pasta, and let that cook.. Dont over cook it though.

    For the sauce..

Cut up some onions.. and a few cloves of garlic.. And cut some capsicum/bell peppers into small pieces

In another pot, put some oil..

When the oil is heated.. Add the garlic until you can smell it, and then add the onions and let it cook for a while.. (never burn the garlic)

Add some tomato to the onions and garlic.. And let it simmer for a minute or two.

    Add some tomato paste

If you want, you can add some chopped tomato

    Add the capsicum/bell pepper

If you want some meat add some minced/ground/hamburger meat

Add some salt and pepper to taste

Let the meat cook.. Stiring it up every few minutes so it doesnt burn and get stuck on the bottom

If you want to try a different kind of spaghetti sauce, but not everyone likes it.. Its sweet filipino spaghetti.. Go to a filipino store, or asian store. and look for banana ketchup/banana sauce, its red, and thick.. If its a small bottle, add the full bottle to the spaghetti sauce (the one i typed above) while the meat is cooking, it might be really thick. Let it boil for a few minutes or so.. Cut up some hot dogs, and throw them in.. Add a couple of teaspoons of sugar..
