  1. read a book...immerse myself in my own space....and hope there are some good ladies to look at!!

  2. Listen to my mp3 player and read a good book or a newspaper. Apparently its considered anti-social as it shuts you out from other passengers!

  3. I try and overtake old people so they flash their lights at me.  Thats funny. It's their fault for driving at 40 in a national speed limmit zone.

  4. Quite easy. 20-30 min drive through Glasgow's traffic for 8 miles, which ain't too bad, imagining how much more unpleasant it would be if I had to get a bus!

  5. I let the chauffeur deal with the hassle, while I enjoy the ride, although I don't travel in the rush hour so normally not to much hassle

  6. car pool - with a beautiful woman.

  7. It was my pleasure ???? to commute from Bromley to Streatham and return every day.  The journey could take from, thirty minutes , about right to and hour and thirty minutes. I did this for forty years.  I leaned, quite early on that if you ran into trouble, that is traffic it is no good fighting it because you will lose every time.  I found that if you count your blessings, that's how far you got before you run into trouble, that was as help, next was, what's on the radio, or that record I just purchased.  If that ran out I worked on what I should do once I got to work, I suppose really I should have done that first.  I did not have to answer to anybody, but anybody that had to answer to me received true consideration of the problem.  I'm sorry, always count your blessings, stop moaning it will not help.  Get the best from whats on offer.  Have a good day

  8. I also listen to music and like yourself - even that does not help sometimes. Especially when travelling with hoards of school children, and other people not being able to or wanting to use their head phones in order to listen to their music. Why, oh why do they do it????????????????

  9. I don't have time to do anything on the way to work, I just come downstairs in my house, at the bottom of the stairs I turn left into work.

  10. I ride a motorbike and laugh at the idiots queueing in their cars / at bus stops / railway stations etc.

  11. Read, daydream or chat to other bus passengers

  12. nothing will help, its the thought of work that makes it so bad!

  13. I shout at tractors and smoke cigarettes with a good cd playing

  14. Radio.

  15. I walk while listening to my ipod - i love my commute!

  16. Try driving to a municipal garage, walk to the bus stop, bus goes into NYC (Port Authority Bldg) and walk to subway; take it for 3 stops, off and walk to work (and in reverse when it's time to go home).  The only thing I wish could get are noise-muting earphones.  Less needless cell phone conversations where you (like or not) are privy to personal details or on a subway car where 2 people sitting across see each other and decide to have a conversation through you (took 10 min before she finally figured out that moving across to the speaker was a better idea).  Sometimes eventful, sometimes not.

  17. I skive.
