  1. you cant its a game of luck just make sure you have a good poker face

  2. I want to clarify one thing before i begine to partially explain, you WILL NOT be able to become a successful card counter by reading this, or any other small article on the web.  you NEED to buy a book that outlines all of the intracacies and is complete with coresponding charts, simulation data, indexes,  playing strategies, and betting plans.

    So lets begin...

-Step one.  is to learn basic playing strategy, you can do this here:  http://www.hitorstand.net  you need to have it down 100% which means EVERY SINGLE PLAY, memorised, not like "oh i think you double on that one" MEMORISED!!

you will also nee to learn how to play for games with different sets fo rules, to learn more about that try visiting http://www.blackjackinfo.com and using their basic strategy engine to notate the differences.

-Step 2. Then you need to pick a counting system, there is more than one, and some are suited for different types of games, info and them and their pros and cons can be found off of links from this page  http://www.qfit.com/blackjack.htm

-Step 3  When using a system that requires it (most systems) you need to grab a hold of the concept of converting to a true count which is the count per deck of crds remaining to be dealt, doing this requires you to guestimate how many decks are left in a shoe by eyballing the size of the stack in the discard tray and deucting it form the total number of decks used, you should be able to do this with a fair degree of accuracy.

-Step 4  You need to memorise variations in playing strategy based on the count  ACCORDING TO THE SYSTEM AND RULES YOU ARE PLAYING since the number sare different for every system.  This is also why information on the web is often inaacurate since the numbers matrixes are usually not labeled

-Step 5, you need to develope some kind of betting approach, the best approach is to wait untill the count is high enough to yeild an advantage before yo place even one bet, but in some cases you may have to play the losing counts as well for the table minimum, then dramatically raise your bet when you ahve an edge, only computer simulation will be able to show you if you are raising your bet high enough to still yeild and edge over the house and if you will be expecting to win enough money to make it worth your whiel when playing in this manor.

Step 6, now thta i have explained it, go buy a book so that you can get all the neccesary information you need, you cna find them in the "puzzles and games" section in the bookstores.

  3. http://www.ehow.com/how_4369_count-cards...  this explains everything

  4. well that other guy probably has a bunch of detail but the way i think it is quite difficult to begin with.  You have to give each card a number.  Cards that are low are given a minus and high cards are given a plus.  Numbers in the midle like 7 8 9's are nuetral.  There are many ways to assign these numbers which depend on ur strategy.  But once you get to a high count and know the count in memory there is no way you can loose.
