How do you count cards in blackjack?(please answer if u know anything about this subject)

Question

using hi-lo system, ok i know 1-6 is worth 1, 7-9 is worth 0, 10-ace is worth -1..I can keep the running count fine, i need to know how to convert this to the true count when only playing with 1 deck of cards.. I also need to know what the true count means.. i mean i know its a number but what does it mean.. like if my true count is 2, what should i be expecting?... Please answer
