How do you create a ad hoc network with a static ip on windows vista?

i have created a default ad hoc network already. if anyone could tell me a command to type in the cmd that will change it to a static ip that would be exreamly helpful. thanks in advance.

  1. You need to navigate to your network ip settings for your wireless connection.

    Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center ->

    On the left hand side click on "Manage Network Connections"

    Right Click on your wireless network connection and select "Properties"

    Double Click on "Internet Protocol Version 4"  

    That will bring up the window where you can set a static IP.  You must make sure your static IP matches your current router or network settings.  If you need help setting this up, leave a message at http://lasvegascomputerrepairnv.com.
