  1. You could have a 12 man singles tournament. You could also try a 6 team scotch doubles tourney. In scotch doubles, you have a partner, and each player takes every other shot (not every other turn) as long as the team is at the table. I'd do a round robin (every team plays each of the other teams) and then have the top 2 play for the championship.

If you're looking to take a retreat on the company dime, you could try something like Cue U, a 2 day pool clinic in Illinois. (I'm sure there are other similar places in other parts of the country, this is just the one I know). I don't think it's particularly cheap though.

  2. Well AB

thanks for the details to work with here (?) hmmmm ---- I am assuming you meant to say "corporate event" (?)

OK -- it would really depend on the Reason for the Event, here, AB --- I mean, if it is simply one of those "get away weekends" that corporate folks like to do every once in awhile as kind of a "R & R" thing --- that would be one thing --- AND -- then there is the corportate get together to learn new things (techniques of business OR seminars for training and motivation)  SO --- what TYPE of EVENT here, sport ??

Okay, I am going to make an assumption (and I know that this is one thing that folks are supposed to stay away from if they can at all --- the "assumption" gig) ----- and, I am going to say that you are getting these folks together around this gig to have some fun and still learn some stuff --- okay ??

What would be the problem in getting a REALLY GOOD pool player in for a demonstration of the "art of pool"  maybe give a lesson or two to the people there --- and then have someone do a lecture relating some pool techniques to certain business principles that may be needed with the company ---- as a momento of this event -- you could give each person their own personal pool cue --- they come in all prices ranges and --- if a series of lectures of business stuff were related to the game --- each time these people pulled out their cue in the future -- they would think about the "event" and what they learned there !!

There again--- you may just simply want to schedule a trip for everyone to a place like Vegas to see some REAL action with one of the top notch pool tournaments that they host there !!

Hope there's something in here that you can use !!

And, ------- eight ball in the corner pocket !!!

  3. 2 Teams 6 players each

    A 12 player tourn

A little more info would help

Diffrent depts  or just 12 execs ??
