I have http://www.noklocked.btinternet.com from years ago. I forget how I told one of my e-mails to be the website address. Can you remind me of the link?

  1. First of all,..the 1st link doesn't work,..but i suspect thats why you said it's an old site that you had from years ago.

    Secondaly,..i'm not quite sure i understand you're questtion fully,but i'll try to help ;)!

I have BT as my ISP and i got a free Website page were i could make my own site and Host it to the Web.

It's at the top of you're "BT Yahoo Browser" and it's called:"

    "Geocities"

    Here's the link!: http://uk.geocities.yahoo.com

The thing about it is you can't change the Web address as it's automatically you're Email Address thats used as you're Sites name.

    *(I don't know nothing about "BT Webspace",as i didn't have the Net untill a year ago,..so i couldn't advise you on that.)*

(Get in Touch with BT,they are pretty helpfull when i need Technical help.) Tel: 0800 600 7030,.it's open 24/7 and they are really good! ;)

However,if you want to name you're own Site you could use many of the FREE ones availible on the Web,..like this one: http://www.ripway.com/tos.aspx(I have it,..and it's very easy to use.!)

Or stick with a BT one but create a "Sub Account" and use that opputunity to create you're own unique Email Address which will also become you're WebSite Address when you set it up.

I would also suggest that if you want to make you're WebSite more personale without those annoying banners in "Geocities" ;),..Use the File Manager part to make you're own Code and upload pic's etc,..it looks allot better in my opinion! ;)

  2. no idea about BT internet..but you can check for some free website creating ideas here http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&clien...

    or just search http://youtube.com

  3. You can't get free websites only poor ones that will put massive banners across every page just for letting you put the pages up yes it will be free but your traffic will be depressingly low. You can only register co.uk/com etc sites if you're willing to pay.

  4. the best way is to make a website yourself, but you may have to pay for the software to do it,so then it still isn't free. Then once you have the website made , you need to get it hosted, there are hundreds of pay for web hosting companies and also several free hosting companies. freewebs.com is one of them. They also have a 'create your own website ' type of thing. With the free hosting companies you will usually have some sort of advertising on you web page.
