Question:

How do you create a very natural, not obvious, makeup look?

Any ideas? It would be AWESOME if it was a look that would enhance my looks but not an obvious makeup look (because when I try to put a lot on, people would always comment on it, in a bad way).

this is what I look like without makeup (but maybe with a little eyeliner that I didn't get to remove):

  1. for my cheeks, i use benefit cosmetics' "dandelion" which is a light pink powder with the slightest amount of shimmer, it's barely noticeable. it's an AWESOME product.  i don't do much with my eyes or eyebrows, but i sometimes wear mascara and also like lipgloss (i go for clear or light pink with a little bit of shimmer).  eyeliner sometimes looks a bit too bold, save that when you're going for a more dramatic look :)

  2. use bronzer not blush

use gold eyeshadow instead of any colorful colors

    brown eyeliner

wear a nude color lip gloss that says "nude"

  3. just use foundation.

  5. The mineral powder makeup would be awesome for you.  They really do work like the commercials say - you buff it into your skin and it makes you look nice and smooth like the models but without looking like you have makeup caked on.  I love Physician's Formula - you can buy it in many stores (Meijer, Target, Walgreens, etc).  I use the Mineral Wear Powder that comes in loose form because it's lighter coverage.  They have lots of shades to choose from, and it does come with a nice small brush to buff it in with.  Be sure to put just a little moisturizer on your face first so the color holds well to your skin.  You do have to buff with some pressure, not like they show on tv, but the finish is awesome and so natural looking!  Even holds up to swimming!  I just add some mascara and a little line of liquid eyeliner and I'm done!  Use a sheer pink gloss on your lips and you'll look great!

  6. Use a powder and not foundation. Nude lip gloss, a little tiny bit of eyeliner. Curl the lashes and use bare naturale mascara from loreal

  7. Tinted moisturizer:

It is light, natural, and most of the time comes with SPF. Much better for your skin.

    Tanish/pinkish blush:

Almost a bronzer but much more natural.

    Brown eyeliner:

Lighter and more natural than black. Apply to top and bottom but don't over-do it. Smudge into eyelashes on top lid.

    Gold or pink eyeshadow:

    over entire lid.

    Gloss:

a clear pink or nude or brown.
