  1. working = работа (noun)

    Working makes us tired.

Работа нам надоела. (or Работа нас утомляет.)

  2. I agree with the previous answer.

Here, it will be a noun - работа because there is no gerund in Russian.

p.s. if you have any questions - I'll gladly answer them (send me a message or so)

  3. My theory may suck, but being a native speaker I can only say what 'sounds right'. What sounds right to me, is something along the lines of 'Мы устаём от РАБОТЫ'. It's not a direct translation as you can see, and it was a noun that I used. I reckon it does make sense when you think about it, since in your sentence the gerrund kind of serves as a noun; it's a subject.

You should not always use nouns, however. For example, a sentence like 'WINNING the lottery is a my dream' would be 'Моя мечта - ВЫИГРАТЬ в лотерею', an infinitive used. Or, 'Бегать полезно' - 'Running is good for you', same thing. But, whether it's an infinitive, a noun, or some fancy grammar construction that you use, we don't have ACTUAL gerrunds. When we learned them in our English class, we just called them the English term 'cause we don't have an analogue. Hope that helped.
