  1. There are various ways, and what you pick depends on what you are trying to do and on the resources available.  If you have a source of mechanical energy (as from a convenient waterfall), you can buy a 10 kW generator head from Harbor Freight Tools for a few hundred dollars.  If you have lots of cash and don't care to spend any of it on fuel, you can buy a photovoltaic system; these cost about $10 per watt of installed capacity -- which includes an inverter and battery plant so that you can use power at night.  But these don't make a lot of sense from an economic point of view unless you can get a fat subsidy (which are often available), because the maximum energy you can get is 2 kWh per watt of installed capacity per year -- which is worth about 25 cents in most areas.

  2. solar panels.

  3. Windy or sun - Which area are you located in?

  4. You are not clear on what level you want to create your electricity.

A simple bicycle dynamo will create electricity to keep the lamp illuminated.

You can buy simple wind turbines to fit a caravan or house boat which will produce enough to charge a 12 volt battery or light a 60watt lamp.

Solar panels can be purchased to go on a house roof - these will produce a small amount of electricity - but they are expensive (£15k + and take around 20 years to recoup the expenditure).

And of course all cars have an alternator attached to the engine so that the car produces it's own supply of electricity to recharge the battery and light the lamps etc.

  5. not sure about electricity, but you can create natural gas, your own. its easy, but you have to eat alot of beans.

  6. Wind, Solor panels, whater... etc.
