  1. More water and a bowl of plain pasta.

  2. try1-2 drinks! you'll lose the hang over but have a slight buzz! don't forget the mints!

  3. Honestly, the only "cure" for a hangover is time, but if you need to feel better quick than you might want to try drinking a shot of whatever you were drinking last night... b/c hangovers are caused by withdrawal...

  4. The hangover is not caused by withdrawl, DTs are caused by withdrawl. Do not listen to the alcoholics that say to drink more.

Hangovers are caused by a combination of dehydration and the toxic reaction of the kindneys and liver having to work overtime to filter the alcohol out of your system. If you were drinking red wine this may increased by the tannins or if you were drikning beer, it can be increased by the yeast and possibly indreased mucous production in response to either the years or the grains from which the beer was made.

Drinking lots of water, for hydration, green tea for antioxidants to help the body detox, ginger tea to settle the stomach. Take some vitamin C eat small portions of food throughout the day, eating those things that you feel your stomach will take.

Pain meds, while easing some of the headache pain will give the body more toxins to filter out and can slow the recovery time of the body. Other than that, time for the body to clean itself and for the hangover to run it's course.

Learn from your experience, observe how much you can drink and still feel good and not do things that you regret or end up feeling sick. Learn when to stop drinking. Learn to feel secure and confident without a drink in your hand, learn that the most competent person does not have to prove themself or work to keep up with how much other people are drinking.

Learn to truly enjoy yourself and your alcohol by using it in a way that does not cause harm. If you can not, then consider not using it.

Most of us, at some time in life, have to negotiate our relationships with all of the things we use, food, alcohol, cars, work etc and figure out where the balance is that these things serve us and we are not a slave to them. There is freedom in moderation.

  5. you shouldnt have got drunk in the first place

  6. go to the shop and buy some Resolve. it's great. and drink lots frizzy drink. i know it's not healthy but it works.

  7. Few things you can try usually:

    (i) Milk of Magnesia

(ii) Curds - take a decent bowl of curds/yoghurt

    (iii) Warm water

    No medicines please!

One of the above first two with (iii) must definitely help.

  8. Take some Anadin Extra and some Zantecs

  9. hair of the dog that bit you- take a shot

  10. Pure Oxygen and liquids. You are dehydrated and need oxygen. If you have access to a shop/garage that has an oxcetelyne torch, turn on the valve to the GREEN tank and GREEN hose. Breath the oxygen. Oxcetelyne has a sweet, pungent odor so if you smell that.....turn it off. If no access, go to the emergency room. Other than that........suffer like everyone else does.

  11. drink some more, hangover gone til next day, repeat 7 days a week then your cured

  12. Drink lots of water, go to the toilet frequently and maybe take a headache tablet or two.

  13. As a receiver of many a bad hangover, the best solution is drinking lots of water friend, Anadin extra always seemed to kick my hangovers *** aswell, good luck, you might just have to ride it out ;-)

  14. Aspirin and coffee

  15. Milk of magnesia. You drink some of that.

Wear sunglasses, as you're eyes will be more sensitive, resulting in headaches.

You can take 2 Paracetomols and 1 Ibuprofen in one go, with food of course.

  16. Gatorade.

  17. Lay in a dark room with NO electrics turnt on....

  18. Sorry that you have to work after such an eventful evening! Unfortunatly the only thing that you can do is wait it out and drink an abundance of water. But for future referances, when you drink like that, drink a glass of milk and take 1 aspirin before going to sleep and you will be able to function the next morning. If you know that you are going out to drink alchohol, drink a lot of water before you start drinking it, and you should nbe fine!

  19. Vitamin C!

Especially the (kinda gross) kind you mix with water.

    I swear by it.

  20. I once had a hangover for 3 days and it SUCKED. I couldn't even stand to be around food because the smell of it made me want to vomit. Then again, I kind of wanted to vomit just to get the lingering alcohol out of my system...

If you're going to eat, eat bland things that will soak up the stuff in your stomach, such as bread or rice. You need to drink a lot of water though - I personally prefer Propel fitness water - or Gatorade. Those things will help get your electrolytes back in check and help you start feeling a little better. Avoid caffeine, as it will just cause you to be more dehydrated.Take 2 ibuprofen and if you can, spend the day in bed in the dark.

Other than that, time is really the only thing that will cure a hangover.

  21. Prevent Hang overs - Stay drunk

    hehe just kidding

Get a shower to freshen up abit or something.

It's best to plan ahead and have a few things close to hand. If you're feeling queasy, antacid liquid or tablets will settle your stomach, as will a cup of ginger tea. Ibuprofen or paracetamol will relieve your headache. Anti-sickness tablets may come in handy.

Once again, water, vitamin C (fruit juice or tablets) and toast are the best things to consume. Eggs are also good as they're packed with cysteine, which is said to mop up the destructive chemicals that build up in the liver when it's metabolising alcohol. This probably explains why a hearty English breakfast does the job - if you can face it.

The effects of a hangover last about 24 hours, so be patient. You'll soon feel better and ready, inevitably, to do it all again.

  27. Just keep rehydrating by drinking as much water or power aid that you can.
