  2. I use pledge wood & glass cleaner/ polish. works good for me

  3. First and FOREMOST, one has to especially watch for and wipe up any excess water which can especially damage and expand/swell wood and like cause it to warp if an abundance of water were to soak into the pores etc.

Wood is beautiful but it doesn't belong everywhere...

    Hope the Above Info Helps!

  4. For cleaning, we use the same product that is designed for floors,  and also use it on all other wood surfaces.  Please do not ever, ever, ever use Murphys on any surface.  Have a great day.

  5. You have different needs for different surfaces.

For floors, keep them free of grit that will dull them by sweeping regularly.

For bannisters, the biggest damage is done by accumulation of acidic body oils.  Clean these regularly with detergent and water or an emulsion furniture polish.

For base moldings, the biggest threat is banging into them with sweepers.  Be careful.  If they are around door frames where people touch them when passing, then the body oil things again.

In general the three biggest damagers of wood surfaces are:

    - Light (UV) exposure

    - Chemical exposure (including alkali cleaners, solvents, and body oils)

    - Physical damage (impact and abrasion)
