How do you cut video clips on windows movie maker?

like cut them out of an area, then play only that...istead of the whole clip?

  1.   You click on the video, which you put on your timeline, and put your mouse over it. You should see 2 arrows facing the oppossite direction, which says, "click and drag to trim the video." You obviously click and drag to the left, and it works


  2. If you play the movie through then next to the preview box there is a button that says split. You press this whenever you want the movie to split into two clips. So if you had a big clip say 5 mins long and you wanted 30 seconds of movie from the middle of the clip, you would let it play through to the start of the bit you want, e.g. 2 mins 30 and click split, you would then play that clip through and click split where you want it to end.

  4. you pause the clip at the point you would like to cut, the choose the "split" option. If you don't know where its at go to help and type in split.
