How do you dance en pointe?

Like how do you pull yourself and balance? Any tips for improving my strength and balance?

  1. um, well you pull yourself up by rolling through your feet, and you balance by keeping your body in line and, well, balancing.  you can try improving balance by strengthening leg muscles, but really just takes practice.  a really helpful pointe excercize to gain strength is slowly rolling from flat to pointe, hold for a few seconds and slowly roll down, then do that 15 or 20 times.


  2. Improve your arches and strengthen your lower body muscles and core muscles.

  3. go in any ballet position i recomend position 1 and just roll your feet up till your on your toes and then you just stregthen your legs by running and such when your at your studio hold on to the bar also put one leg on the bar hold on and roll your foot ill your on your toes

  4. lots of lunges, do the pleais (sp?) the squat looking things , feet close to each other, knees out to build your strength and balance at the same time
