Question:

How do you deal with Feminists at my work?

There's three females who are obviously feminists. They want equality; they want the same jobs as the men; they want to be treated equally.

The problem thing is... they complain on the job and claim it's not "lady-like". If you yell at these women, they will complain to the Human Resources department and I gamble on being fired.

For example: 2 weeks ago, there was a job that required team effort. We were required to transport heavy humanitarian supplies for the country of Georgia. The three females were excused from the job, simply because they're females and it's not "lady-like". A week later, I found out that they complained to the higher-ups that it's not far for women to do the jobs.

How do I deal with these types of females?

  1. One I doubt the premise of this question.

But in dealing with feminist's the easiest course of action is a sexual harassment lawsuit.

You would need to go to a psychologist about how the sexism and double standard is negatively effecting you.

That will provide evidence in court.

Also testimony from friendly witness's is also a good idea.

  2. "We were required to transport heavy humanitarian supplies for the country of Georgia."

You must be working for McCain's lobbyists...

    To answer your question:

Just let the one's who can do heavy lifting work in that spot, and if they can't then give them another task.

There really shouldn't be a need to "know that they are feminists" or "deal with these types of females"...

It's about the job and who can get it done - nothing more.

  3. Feminists generally have a negative attitude that makes them difficult to work with. Being difficult to work with should disqualify a person from many jobs & promotions, but these gals use their pester power to demand that they get more breaks than other people. Their complaining should be ignored, but feminists are now backed up by a lot of politically correct legislation.

There is probably not a lot that can be done at present, but the good news is that some people are not prepared to take this BS lying down any more http://www.roydenhollander.com/

  4. Look kid:

If a job involves physical work this must be written into the job description, and the applicant would need to prove to a potential employer that he or she was physically able to do the job (example: a records management clerk who can lift boxes up to 35 lbs in weight).  That's standard procedure - a contract is signed between employee and employer - and its done this way so that everything is above-board legally speaking.  If actual "heavy lifting" was part of the job then guaranteed most of the positions would be filled by men who would have proved to the employer beforehand that they could do the job competently.  If somebody whose job description did not involve physical work was directed to do it and that individual hurt or killed themselves or somebody else in the process the company would be legally responsible and of course their as s would be sued and they would be torn to shreds.

Ask to be transferred to another McDonalds.

  5. These are not real feminists or ladies for that matter!

If they complained cos they were expected to do heavy lifting and they were not physically capable and did offer to do other stuff to help the team fine but complaining its not lady like?

How old are these three females?

I suspect they actually only have a very vague idea of what a feminist is or again lady in any sense of the word?

However to be fair I must ask if it at all  possible they wanted out cos some of the transport team were hassling them and using bad language?

  6. No feminist would dodge work because it's not 'lady like', feminists don't even use that language.

Your co-workers sound like slackers and your supervisor sounds like he's in league with them. What sort of boss let's a paid employee sit idle because it's not ladylike? An idiot, for sure.

Complain to your boss, citing dates, times and occurrences.

Demand to be paid exactly what these slackers are being paid for the duties they are doing, or be excused from other duties.

Of course, you may find out that you are actually being paid more to do heavy lifting, and they are being paid less so they don't have to.

    Then you can decide.

    Cheers :-)

  7. They are useless. You have my sympathy.

  8. I'm not sure if you can deal with this type of woman. They want their cake and eat it too. I hate woman like that who give the real, true, feminist a bad name. A woman should have the same jobs and be treated equally, including transporting supplies.

  9. I agree, they're being hypocrites. They're doing far more to hurt women's rights than help them. Nobody should be excused from doing something that's required in their job description because of gender. You should bring this up to management.

  10. They sound like idiots, they don’t deserve the job it’s that simple. If they can’t be bothered doing their job then why did they apply for it? Doesn’t sound like any woman I’ve ever known. If you want the job done you all have to muck in together; getting dirty at the same time. I grew up with my mum and dad on a cattle farm (1037 acres,) it was just us my sister and dads brother doing all the work. So I can’t understand what the problem is with hard work; it’s gotta be done or you don’t eat.
