  1. Incomplete question...

  2. he is odd because he is obedient or defiant or a case of disorder and a but what?

  3. With odd? What is odd?

  4. I'm assuming you mean ADD??

Just let him run around a lot.  Try to discourage video games, as they won't allow him to burn off his excess energy.  Get him into constructive things, like yard work! Or buy him a gym membership.

  5. well my brother has o.d.d (he's 9) and we deal with him by buying him puzzles or cars he can build it keeps him focused and amused.. . . . . .

    - hope this helps

  6. Actually it is Oppositional defiant disorder. I just looked it up online. You know though, like with children with ADD, you just need to have patience. I assume you are following some path of treatment for him, right? Well, just have patience and see if the treatment works. If no treatment is being done, then you should talk to his pediatrician. If treatment isn't helping, talk to his pediatrician. The doctors can help you more then anybody on here could. But, as i said, just be patient with him. When you speak to him, sound understanding. Speak in a low voice, and try not to argue back. Just, try to calm him down when he starts acting out. If his acting out starts getting really serious, you need to let him know it is not okay. It must be hard having a child with  ODD, but yes, just got to be patient and always be talking to the doctor about it. He will most likley give you the best answer.

    EDIT:

Just wanted to add, it isn't your fault. He has ODD, isn't that something your born with? So it can' t be your fault. It is how his brain works, like ADD. So it isn't the music and the movies. I mean they can have some effect at such a young age, but not huge. If you don't have him on some medication, there got to be something else. If it does get out of hand, then what are you going to do you know? Maybe a children's thereapis/counselor may help him? You ever thought about it? But i still think patience is the key.
