How do you deal with a swarm of mosquitos?

I went to a beach in San Luis Obispo County today. Years ago this beach was never crowded. However today it was full of people. It is the only beach in California that you can drive on, legally. Anyway right around sunset. I noticed little bugs flying around me. I thought they were gnats. However on closer inspection I noticed they were Mosquitos. They were everywhere. How do you deal with a large group of mosquitos?

either prepare to be bitten....or run like the wind...I heard something by Avon works on your skin....it is called Skin So Soft....it is supposed to repel mosquitos....and it is not a poison

you can either buy a large mosquito net , build a small but smoky fire or move on

i heard like eat more garlicy or onionly foods. I m not very sure, so dont overdo it. also you can put on some bugsprayoff stuff.
