I have an 8 year old and I really want to have another baby. I had a high risk pregnancy and it was very scary for all of us but especially for my husband. He won't have another baby and every time I see a baby I get very emotional. How do people deal with this?

  1. When I want another baby (and I can't have another baby...one is it for me) I try to think about how much a baby would change life for my son, limit what we could do with him, prevent him from continuing his activities, etc.  I DO find it passes with time.  It comes in waves.  Some days I cry about it, some days I go snuggle up a friends baby and when it throws up, poops and has a big runny nose, I give it back to Mom! :)  Also, I got a puppy.  It is something small and dependant that requires your unconditional love, time, attention and adoration.  Plus, it will never grow up completely or talk back!  Sorry, I have learned to put humor into my desperate desire for another baby....

Ultimately, I have learned to make it "mind over matter" and focus on the logic instead of the emotion...best of luck!

  2. Face your fears, I had a lot going on when I was pregnant.  Every pregnancy is different.  Your next may be smooth sailing.  Speak with your doctor and find out what he recommend you all do, and get a second opinion if you must.  Best Wishes!!!!
