How do you deal with *** holes in your work place?

Face up to them, suggest going for a drink, try to see whats up if they're still acting like *** holes, take em outside for a smack. You wont get the sack cos you didn't do it in the workplace!

Might not change the idiots attitude, but they'll stay clear of you!

It depends on the situation.  I think as long as you are mature, respectful of everyone, and do your job correctly then no one can get in your face about anything that is justifiable.  If THEY are the problem, then any problems they create will eventually just be pushed back in their face at some point.

Its tough to take the higher road, but I would remind myself that they are not in control of me, their rude attitude is not going to ruin my day because that is giving them too much control. Be tough, stand strong, don't sink to their level.  

I think as long as you come in, do your job, leave, while creating no problems, then you've done nothing wrong and at some point their bad attitudes will come back to bite em.

Read the book "Take the Bully by the Horns: Stop Unethical, Uncooperative or Unpleasant People from Running and Ruining Your Life," by Sam Horn.

Then determine the most appropriate way to deal with the person and his/her behavior.

Just don't ignore it.  Doing so will create resentment, anger and anxiety that will ultimately deterioriate your work performance.  I know.  I've been there.

Give them a taste of their own medicine. Try to take each insult directed at you, twist it round, and make it funny about them, or insulting to them. Learn to master this technque and those *** holes in your workplace will have no place to turn to other than the exit sign above the back door!
