There is a girl at work who tries very hard to do as little as possible. There are times that I'm doing 3 things at once while she is doing nothing but socializing. I tried talking to a supervisor but she is friends with the girl and told her what I said. Now Im being ostracized at work.

  1. you're pretty much in between a rock and a hard place.  I would just step up and start being assertive and drawing more attention to the quality and quantity of work you do in comparison with your co-worker.  Her laziness will come back to bite her in the a$$ sooner than later.

  2. I've heard it said that if someone is taking the time to notice what a coworker is doing or not doing, then perhaps that person is not paying enough attention to what they're supposed to be doing. Just something to think about. At any rate, since you've already taken it to a supervisor with less than desirable results, it sounds like your best bet is to just forget about them and concentrate on your own work and hope that person's shortcomings will eventually be noticed. It's called giving someone enough rope to hang themselves with.
