Question:

How do you deal with living a solitary life?

I'm graduating from college in December and will likely move far from home. I'm kind of awkward and shy in social situations, and I don't foresee making a lot (if any) friends in my "new life."

I already live a pretty solitary life as it is. I have no real friends, although I do hang out with people at school between classes. But right now I at least have family to fall back on when I have nothing to do.

  1. it takes me awhile to makes friends

when i first moved into this place im at right now, i didnt have any real friends for like a year. at first it kinda sucked but then i learned how to deal with it, i just did things that i like to do and it kept me occupied. i played an online game, got into a guild, played the rpg's games i've always wanted to play. it isnt too bad rly, cause when i think bout it, once i get married i mostly wouldnt have much time to do these things :) anymore, so i just made the best of the solitude i had

  2. As long as I had enough money and some good hobbies to entertain me in my down time, a largely solitary life really wouldn't bother me.  If you're not like me and instead loathe solitude, you could probably make friends at work and through social networking sites.

  3. There you go with the negative thinking "and I don't foresee making a lot (if any) friends in my "new life."

Why can you say " I foresee making a lot of friends in my new life"

You can try changing how you are, new beginning new attitude.

Don't focus on the negative...stay positive..go out make friends and you'll see how you will have a great new start.

    Good Luck...

Keep me posted on the outcome...
