  1. A polite "thank you", and say also, "it's a humbling experience, thank you for the encouragement!" (and, feel so!)

  2. I just smile and simply say, "Thank you."

  3. I say "Thank you".

    Or "I appreciate that".

  4. Smile and say, "Thank you!"

  5. Smile and Thank you!

Try it you will get used to doing it, realize that the compliments that you receive are deserved... Good luck!

  6. Look them in the eye and say :"Thank you, it's good to know I'm achieving what I intended" or "Thank you, I looked for this suit for three weeks, it's good to know it looks smart".

To practise, get a mirror, imagine you are being complimented on your excellent speech to the meeting, or your cool shoes, and think about what you would say, then DO IT in front of the mirror until you stop being self conscious.

    You're worth it!

  7. everyone is right Smile and say thank you

if you feel it was a caddy compliment then just say thanks!

overall embarrassed or not you should say something

or you should just slap them on the face because i find it very rude not to say something like thanks!

I use to be the same way what do i say do i return the complement do i just say thanks what if i get nervous and forget!  As long as it is said at some point when it's not brought up it's cool!

once someone complemented me on a job well done !  i just smiled!

later that day i went up to the person who said that. and said this

wow. i was floored about your complement and wanted to take this time to tell you thank you very much.
