How do you deal with the waiting?

My husband and I just started TTC, and my period is not due until the 15th. How do you stand the waiting to test every month? I didnt think it was going to be this bad, and although I really hope to be pregnant, I know it rarely happens when you first start trying. Any ideas on how to get my mind off of it, and how to deal if it doesn't happen for us this month?

Waiting is hard but exciting too. You can always look for pregnancy signs while you are waiting, as this will help you to tune into the signs from your body. If you are not pregnant this month, start sexual intimacy during your period or directly after and continue throughout the month every three or four days. Something else to do when you are waiting which will also increase your opportunities for conception. Best wishes, G

It's torture.

We lost a baby at 13 weeks in February, and have been TTC ever since. Every month is a roller coaster of emotions, and when AF shows her ugly face I can cry for days!!!

I have no advice for taking your mind off it ~ just keep busy (seems to work for me), but not a day goes by when I don't think about it!

My AF is due 11th August (which was Leo's EDD)

I finally just let myself get busy with other things that I could control.  I dove into my career and put the rest in God's hands b/c I truly believe that it will happen when it is supposed to happen.  The waiting is annoying, don't get me wrong..and I would know b/c I have 40-50 day cycles.  Stress doesn't help the situation and once you realize you have done every thing you can (for me it included taking clomid per docs instructions)  baby dance, prayer, etc. I let it go until I miss a period.  Or I test anyway and waste money b/c its too soon-lol. Keep you head up, be positive and patience:) Baby dust!

been ttc for 3 months after my m/c what i do for my 2 weeks wait is go shoping get nails hair done i call my girlfriend up go out i just try to do things that i enjoy doing and try not to think about it too much am waiting right now my next period should be in 5-6 day if am not pregnant but good luck to u hugs and ur not alone my friend.

just think positivly every time.If you have s*x every other day then within a year you should be pregnant. Remember there is a 25 percent chance every month. you just have to be patient. its all worth it in the end when you both get your bundle of joy. good luck i know what your going through im going through the same thing. when period comes i feel like screaming but i just wait til the next month and hope for that. lots of baby dust to us all ttc x
