  1. You can put anything in a scrapbook and you can have any theme.   There is no wrong way to do a scrapbook.

    Make themed scrapbooks like:

    Friends

    Bands

    Favorite hang outs

    Birthdays

    Holidays

    Seasons

    Baby

    School

    Wedding

    Trips

    Hobbies

Go crazy and let your imagination run wild.

Scrapbooks are lots of fun to make. I make collages in some of my scrapbooks using photomix software to create the special look I want for each book. But the most important thing you need is your imagination. If you want it in the book put it in there.  If you want a book for that subject then make it.

Add comments, dates special sayings. Add anything you want. You can put them in any order you want.  Make it fun and special to you.

  2. I do mine in order by year. 07 was a rather small photo year because i was broke and preg. so never really did anything. im putting 07 and 08 together since most of my 07 pics im preg. in. i think its easier when ur thinkin back to ur sisters suprise 25th bday that happened in 04 to just go get the 04 scrapbook instead of going threw 30books to find 5 pages of pics.

  3. you should do it by year, so you can have kinda like a year in review type thing

  4. It's really up to you and what kind of albums you want.  There is NO wrong way to scrapbook!  You can do family book, a vacation book, a birthday book, or just a book of everything for that one year, or until there's no more room.

It's different for everyone!  I've seen people do one book for each child, so each birthday and school layout, and whatever events and sports or whatever that child has goes in that album, but if it's a family thing, then it goes in the family album.

I've seen people do separate Christmas albums, they do a family album of everything, but Christmas has it's own special album.

It's really about what YOU want and how YOU want your albums separated!  You do NOT have to do it by year, you do NOT have to do it in order chronologically, you do it any way YOU want it to be!  These are your books and they should be done the way YOU want them and the way you think is easiest or most comfortable for you!

You can put them all in one place for now until you decide and then separate them out when you decide or just leave them where they're are and then decide later to start different albums for different occasions and events.

I have a separate album for each goddaughter that I have, a separate album for each vacation, but I don't go on many, and right now that's it, the rest are either still in progress, or have been gift albums.  I've done WAY more gift albums than I've kept for myself.

It's really up to you though and what you're comfortable with.  You can do it by season, by year, by person, etc. Think about it, there's no rush to decide!  Have fun and when you're ready and comfortable making decision, you will and and you'll be happy!

  5. well for me each of my children have their own books. One that looks at just their first year of life and the other is laid out in categories. I have a family book. I also have a book that shows just the vacations that we go on. As my kids start school they will have a scrapbook for their school years along with their regular book. It is up to the individual on what they want to put into the books.
