How do you define a pool pro?

Is this people who are on sanctioned tours, or simply those who derive they income, or a significant portion thereof; from pool?

              I would say both but as you know pro road players dont call themselves that ,I was a truck driver,Lots of sales men that are just bored and wanted some lessons,Eddie Taylor was a cement contractor

On the pro tours its the tours that call them a pro in fact most have other intrest ,its just that pool is the main one or what they are famous for

I know it's a matter of semantics, but if someone said they were a "Pool Pro", I'd assume they meant something similar to a Golf Pro, which would be one of the better players at the hall who gives lessons.

I'd define a professional pool player as anyone who makes their living mostly from playing pool tournaments or money games (not just by giving lessons). You don't necessarily need to be recognized by or a member of any particular tour, as long as you're putting food on the kitchen table with your playing.

FYI, The APA defines a "professional" player (and thus disqualify them from playing) as anyone who makes a "significant portion of their income" from playing pool.
