  1. I can't comment on ugly, but I know what beautiful is.

It is balance, logic, fairness, harmony.  It is represented by the planet Venus.  In Vedic astrology, if placed or aspected to the first or second house of appearance and personality, it can create balance to your looks.  Libra in sun can give a peaceful serene look to a person.  It is not everything, certainly.  It is a balance factor.  Great art comes from the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces.  Watch a Pisces go to work.  This type of beauty will make you cry.

  2. beauty is confidence and self respect, its the righteous goodness of a person and kindness that radiates from one's soul and touches others.

  3. "Beauty is nothing but the beginning of Terror that we're just able to bear."

  4. "Remember how in that communion only, beholding beauty with the eye of the mind,

he will be enabled to bring forth, not images of beauty,

but realities (for he has hold not of an image but of a reality),

and bringing forth and nourishing true virtue to become the friend of God and be immortal, if mortal man may."

N.B.: This famous aphorism is often misquoted, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

  5. beauty is in eyes of beholder

  6. It depends on your personal perspective.

Beauty to me is kindness and gentleness and goodness--generosity of spirit and sense of humour and playfulness.  There is superficial beauty (the outside) and inner beauty.

I suppose a rare gem is the combination of both, but it comes in many forms and beauty can be hidden under many layers too.

  7. Such a simple question but yet so hard to answer..

The answer is far more complex lol.

Physical beauty and ugliness is often a matter of personnel taste, cultural values.

But by and large studies have found that people with good symmetrical faces/bodies are more attractive then people who have have poor symmetrical faces/bodies.

Weight and general healthiness also plays a part.

When it comes to a person's mind or lack of one it can get even harder.

To one person a personality quirk could be endearing or a major turn on. To a different person it might be a massive turn off deal breaker.

It is easy to say what I like or would like but reality is often much different.

Much like the country song( kinda of forget the name) where he sings about "she is more" how she was nothing like he fantasized about when thinking of his perfect mate but "more".

I am sorry that this is a loop around answer but the question is just too subjective and could be answered correctly with over a million different types of answers.

  8. This question is so subjective I will elect to define beauty in a physical sense.

    The Basics:

    1.  Clear, clean skin (small pores, minimal blemishes)

    2.  Hair the right length, right style, good quality cut, keep the hair colour FRESH (I don't care if you dye it green just make sure you keep on top of it).

All the rest of the physical stuff is window dressing.

  9. to me beauty in a person is:

    1. youthful appearance and not over or under weight

    2. symmetrical face and body

    3. skin is free of sun damage (spots, burns, redness, roughness)

    4. has toned body but doesn't need to be really muscular

    5. clean smell

    6. dressed decently and not showing private parts in public or wearing ridiculous shoes

    7. for women not wearing obvious makeup and no red polished nails or fake ones

    8. has a full head of hair and has color (not white or gray hair)

    9. doesn't smoke or drink
