How do you define "mature", when is someone really mature?

I'm 18, help me grow up :-P

Or just philosophize about maturity in general.

someone who is able to support themselves, and doesn't depend on other people to get things done. doesn't whine when things don't go their way. they just accept it, try to fix it the best they can and move on. someone who is mentally strong and will not break down over every problem. takes responsibilities for their actions. tries to help the people that care for them. do what their supposed to do. doesn't do all the partying and drugs. thats for the teenagers now.  focus and work hard for the thing that are going to better themselves in the future.
