  1. On the top of your scrren, on the right hand side of your task bar, click on tools and then click on delete browsing history.  Tempory internet files, history and form data are what you want to delete.  Keep the cookies and saved passwords.


  2. along with the above .. click the content tab / auto complete and then clear forms .... this will remove things from auto completing when you type an address into the line

  3. Alternatively, you can use a program named CCleaner available for free download and use at most popular download sites like download.com.  It can clean a lot of other junks too.

  4. First you need to delete the history by clicking on Tools, then Internet Options. Under General click Clear History. After that you need to clear or disable Auto Complete because your search bar history will still be available for view. Here is how you do that:

    For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.
