  1. Hello,

Download MalwareBytes AntiMalware & scan your pc to remove it. The Download & instructions link is below.

    - XP Antivirus 2008  is a rogue antivirus program, that displays false information stating that you are infected, when your not infected. Removing it from control panel will NOT work. It's from the makers of Win Antivir 2008. It also displays fake alerts on your computer which is just another tactic to scare you into purchasing the program.

  2. If You want to remove XP Antivirus 2008 manually, You will have to delete some files and registry entries.

Antivirus XP 2008 may also be hidding these files, or may block some of the OS functions.

Read the rest of the entry and try the offered program.

  3. I had the same problem recently, that's not a anti virus, is a malware software, you may get out the hard disk of your pc and get it checked by another anti virus in another pc or try to disable the process associated with this program, type msconfig in the run button in xp menu and try to stop this program from starting with windows or try to edit the system register(type regedit in the run option in xp menu) but research in the internet first to know how to do this step surely because system changes in regedit without knowing what is doing can leave the system unusable. Good luck with it.

  4. Do you man delete or uninstall? To delete you go to a list of all programs, scroll to the one you want, right click on it, scroll to "delete", then left click.

If you mean uninstall, then you need to go to the "Install/Uninstall" area. You do this buy clciking on the Windows symbol in the lower left hand corner of the screen, then when the next screen pops up, click on "computer", then when that screen pops up, go to the top where it says "Uninstall or change a program", click on that,  then when the next screen pops up click on the program you want to uninstall, then when asked if you're sure you want to uininstall the program, click "yes"

  5. I was fooled by that one because they look like the Windows Defender icon.  You need to find it in programs, and then - because it's on the hard drive - you'll have to go in as the computer's administrator to either uninstall or delete (I forget what I did, but you'll see it when you get there).

If you do "Find" for it all the files will show up.  That's when you can see where they and go get rid of them.

Afterward, run your PC's anti-virus scanning software (and if you don't have any, download a free trial from someone offering it).  Make sure the free one you download will actually fix the problem.  Some will only scan and tell you you have to buy to get the problems fixed.

  6. XP Antivirus 2008 (XPAntivirus 2008) is a new version of well known fake spyware cleaner. This program have aggressive behaviour and deceptive advertising tactic. XP Antivirus 2008 displays false security warnings and malware detection reports to scare users into buying full version of this useless program. Likewise older versions, XP Antivirus 2008 can install other malware, capture browser's homepage, redirect search results and slow your computer. We recomend to remove XP Antivirus 2008 from your PC.
