  1. To solve this problem, I would need to know what your browser is, as to delete past searches, it doesn't depend on Google, but it depends on your browser.

  2. Hi,

Go to your "tools" in the top menu of your browser screen. Go to internet options. Go to "Privacy" - de-check the options for 'remember what I type in the search box." You can change the # of days your history is stored, as well as the option to clear out your cookies and personal history each time you close mozilla.

    Hope that helps!

No need to go chasing after links - in the first answer, looks shady.

  3. Depending on which one you have I have the google toolbar and there's a down button near the search bar click on that and then it will say clear history, click on that. Hope I helped.

  4. Google isn't remembering anything, your browser is remembering things that you have typed on that site.

In IE you can turn this off by going to tools, internet options, content tab, autocomplete button.

I can't remember off the top of my head how to do it in firefox but it's very similar.

  5. No matter what browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) you are using, the problem is that your computer is storing information about your web browsing history.

Under your preferences or options, you should turn off "auto complete" or similar functions. In some browsers, there are settings under Privacy or Security that restrict the storing of information.
