How do you delete the yahoo search history bar?

Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

To clear the search history from the search bar menu on Yahoo! or Google pages, double click the search bar, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it, hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted.

To clear the search history on Yahoo! Toolbar, click the blue down arrow on the right side of the search bar and on the top of the drop down menu click Options and click Clear Search History.

If you want to remove all the entries in your search history right

now, but you still want Yahoo! Toolbar to remember your searches in the future, do the following:

Click the Pencil menu.

Select "Clear Recent Searches".

If you want to save your recent searches while you're searching on the Web, but automatically clear the saved searches when you close your browser window, do the following:

Click the Pencil menu.

Select "Toolbar Options".

Select "Auto-clear recent searches when exiting IE" so there's a checkmark in the box next to it.

Click "OK".

If you want to disable the feature entirely so none of your searches are saved, do the following:

Click the Pencil menu.

Select "Toolbar Options".

Click "Remember Recent Searches" so there's not a checkmark in the box next to it.

Click "OK".

Note: Yahoo! Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox currently does not have the ability to disable the search history or automatically clear it on exit. Those features will be added in a future release.

The Yahoo Toolbar is actually an application which was installed as part of the install process of any number of other applications, or, bundled with your computer.

You need to uninstall and restart your browser(s).  To do this, go to Control Panel and open "Add Remove Programs".  Scroll through the list (it should be a ways down, as it is alphabetical) and find "Yahoo Toolbar".  Click the "Remove" button next to that entry.  When that process is complete, you may likely have a "Yahoo Mail ..." item listed in that list also, that is the software which tells you if you have any new mail in your Yahoo mail account, if you don't want/need this, remove using the process described above.  Once you have finished removing everything, close and re-open any web browsers you may have had open.
