I teach civics ESL and and want to deliver interesting, engaging lectures to a small group (about 10) but I dont want to just read sentences. (otherwise its just like reading to them).I want to engage the students so theres no "fall asleep danger" if you get my meaning.I like using powerpoint but cant seem to find the balance between speaking in normal language vs reading my notes verbatim. How do you do this? Pro instructors please help!!! thanks.
