How do you destroy choppers in COD4 PS3?

I was just wandering how do you destroy choppers in Call of duty 4, and what weapon do you have to use

rpg rocket is the best to use if u hit it then it should come down also use the shooting guns to make it come down

shoot them. an RPG(rocket launcher) works best. if you dont have one try using an LMG(light Machine Gun) the LMG is the biggest gun you can choose(have over 100 rounds in it too) all the other guns(Assualt, SMG, Sniper, Pistol, And Shotgun) dont work too well.(but i did list them in order of effectivness)

You can use any weapon to take the chopper down. You just have to deal a lot of damage to it, but you can do it with anything. I've even seen somebody take one down with last stand.

You can destroy choppers with any weapon.  It is a lot easier to just use and RPG because it takes only two hits with it to destroy it.  If you don't have any RPG's and you really need that chopper down, then use a Light Machine Gun or as a last resort use an assault rifle.

you could use machine guns but it would take a lot longer....
