  1. depends what size of wedding you want, my daughter had white wedding, bridesmaids, car, 20 people for meal and evening disco, 3 years ago £8000. Friend had average wedding recently and cost £25,000 so you should start saving now.

  2. Well, you start with making a list of what you spend your money on right now.  So you will know where the money goes each month.

Yes, this is called a budget but I didn't want to scare you a way.  A budget is just a tool so you can decide how much you want to spend each month, instead of trying to figure out where the money went at the end of the month.

Once you have your budget you will see what you are spending and can decide to change things if you need to or don't like what you see.

As for the wedding you should try to decide what things you would like and start checking on prices.  Maybe a list of needs and wants too so you can decide what you can leave out, if the price is getting too high, but still me happily married.

If you are not trying to impress people or one up someone you will probably have a reasonably priced wedding.

If you are involved with a church, you can even get help with the food and reception to keep the cost down.
