I have a particular s***w that I need to order a bunch of. I'd like to order in bulk off the internet. However, I'm not sure how to measure the s***w in order to figure out what I need. Any ideas?

  1. I agree. Measuring is very difficult. Some hardware stores have sizing holes to thread your s***w in order to size it. Remember, the thread size may be important especially if you must match it to a particular nut.

  2. Bring it to the hardware store, ask someone.. or just match it up to one that has the label on it.

    That's what I would do.

  3. what is it for?..... they come in all sizes, going to the hardware store and matching it up is a good idea...... the first number represents the diameter of the shaft and the second number represents "threads per inch" ..... i.e. #4/32, #6/32, 8/ 32, 8/24,...[ (1/4" /20)-(quarter twenty) ] and so on............. it may be a metric s***w.....
