Because I feel like I have no talents what so ever and I would never know because my family kept me sheltered. When I was younger I was very interested in doing alot of things like playing music etc. My mother never let me do that. I think its to late to find my hidden talent. I'm 17 by the way.

  1. Oh you are still young to go out to explore those things! Why would your mother not allow you to do that...that is strange. At the age of 18 I started doing Bollywood dancing and it is a blast and started doing fashion shows....before I was a classical dancer but doing that other style was totally new to me. I also started debating in some university clubs. Explore your opportunities:)...

  2. This is the perfect category.

A lot of the time what looks like talent is a skill that a person has learned and developed because being good at that thing meant something to them. If there is something you want to learn or to try, you should do so. If it's music and you are intimidated right now by learning an actual instrument then maybe you could take a music theory class, which might inspire you to take piano lessons, which might make you realize that you'd really like to play guitar.

One of the great things about becoming an adult is that it is no longer up to your mother to decide what you may or may not explore. You can look into your own heart and choose a path. You can just try things out as they look interesting. Don't treat anything as if you have to instantly be a genius at it, just treat them as if you want to learn something. There will be things that grab on to you and drive you to pursue them. Follow where they lead and you will find the things that fulfill you and enhance your life. It is never too late.

  3. there is no talent....u just have to find what u love doing...then thats what u'll be good at

  4. Try to think of something you've LOVED to do since you could remember. I knew that art was my thing since I was little. Maybe you should look more into playing music since you said you were interested in it. Most people don't find out until they get out there and find what their talent is. And it might not be something cliche like art or singing. One of my teachers didn't find out that public speaking was her talent until she went off to college. Just get involved and it will come to you.

    I hope this helps! =)

  5. It's never too late, honey. Start by making a list of all those things you were interested in trying, like music. Then, put them in order of what's most interesting to you. Then, take the three that are most interesting to you and put them in order of which is the most feasible. That process will leave you with one top answer - let that be the thing you try first.
