How do you disable space bar on firefox so it won't make you scroll down?

I hate it when I push the spacebar in Firefox and it automatically scrolls down. I was playing a game in the browser (mind you internet explorer does this too so don't just tell me to use internet explorer) and there was a part where I had to push space bar a lot and it was pretty much impossible to play because it went down to the bottom of the page everytime I pushed it.

Also I wouldn't mind knowing how to make it so the back key doesn't go to the previous page. Sometimes when I am posting a comment and have to delete words I go to the previous page. Thank goodness Firefox "saves" the post so I don't have to type it all over again! But finding out how to disable it would be great :)
