How do you discipline a cat?

please help me my cat is so spoiled and out of control and will not SHUT UP!!!! ive tried the water bottle thing. doesnt work considering he likes jumping in the shower with me.

Don't forget...dogs have owners and cats have staff...you are her servant!  Plus if she has 1 oz. of siamese in her, the mouth never shuts!  I have one like that...her name is Sox but should have been "SASSY". If you get a working answer, I can't wait to try it!

I dont really use discipline. My cats are very well behaved. But one person told me to give them a tap or two on the nose they supposedly dont enjoy. They will then stop(that is what i heard)

I use lemon juice for my dog just a tiny bit, but my cat pretty much owns me.  good luck

Cats hate loud noise,try putting beans or rocks in tin can and when he does something you don't like Shake it at him.

I stopped my cat from jumping and climbing on my screen door by slipping up on him and screaming at him. It took about 4 times and he got message and has never done this again....I live way out in the country and can get away with screaming...I would not do this if you have close neighbors...they might send men in white coats to take you away!!!!

I have 4 cats-or rather they have me.They follow me all over the place, even into the can.My wife left the bedroom door open a tiny crack and I woke up thinking I couldn't breathe, they were all piled up on me.I am keeping track of this very good question in self defense!

Well, spraying my cats with water works for me. I would suggest that you blow in his face or get a small, hand-held fan instead. But be careful, because he might be tempted to bat at it. If you don't have any luck with that, sorry, but I can't help any more. Good luck!

Don't talk to your cat- it encourages them to be vocal.  If it's an older cat, there might be some dementia involved.  Spritzing them with water is usually what is recommended- have you tried to do it so your cat doesn't know where it comes from?  It's supposed to shock them out of that behavior-
