How do you disguise eggs?

I'm looking for clever, healthy ways to feed my six year old eggs. He hates eggs for some reason, and I just need some ideas on how to get it into him. Please and thanks!

  1. Big nose glasses!

  2. A fun way for eggs is to do eggs in a frame (they also have about a dozen other names)

Use a glass or cookie cutter and cut a hole in the center, butter each side of the toast, place in a heated skillet and crack the egg into the hole. Flip when ready and toast the other side as well.

Make fried rice, I've not really done it but my mom-in-law makes a killer one with ham and scrambled eggs, peas etc....

Try a skillet with lots of other veggies that your son likes and some potatoes, cook them up and the crack and egg over the top and stir and cook, add a little cheese and maybe ketchup or salsa. He won;t even realize there are eggs in it.

Frech toast, add soem fresh fruit and a light drizzle of syrup or even honey and YUM.

    Eggs sandwiches.

Monte Cristo sandwich....a turkey, ham, and cheesew sandwich dipped in egg and freid, but that's not so much egg and he may as well just eat the sandwich.

    Will he eat deviled eggs?

Hmmmmm....I'll keep thinking as I go here.

  3. Have you tried an egg salad sandwich or deviled eggs? Maybe he has an aversion to either the whites or the yolk. Why not ask him if there is a preference.

  4. Pizza Eggburger

    1 teaspoon margarine

    1 egg

    1 hamburger bun

    2-3 slices of pepperoni

    1 tablespoon mozzarella cheese

    1 tablespoon pizza sauce

Heat margarine in small skillet over medium heat. Break and slip egg into pan. Break yolk, if desired. When egg is set but still moist on tip, add slices of pepperoni. Turn egg over and sprinkle with cheese. Cook until cheese is melted. Open bun, spread with pizza sauce, and top with cooked egg.

This is a French toast recipe with eggs and bread.

    Ingredients:

    4 eggs

    1 teaspoon sugar, optional

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 cup milk

10 to 12 slices white bread

    butter

    maple syrup or other syrup

Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk.

Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine.

Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.

Transfer bread slices to griddle or skillet, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup.

    French toast serves 4.

  5. Would he eat quiche or pancakes?  French toast?

You can substitute other proteins, such as yogurt or grilled cheese.

Don't stress out if he hates eggs. His taste may soon change.

Try other fun foods, like mac and cheese, mini hamburgers or dessert custards made with eggs.

Have you made green eggs and ham?  Read the book and see if he will like it!  Use food coloring for the eggs.

  6. Tuna salad with smashed hard boiled eggs and cheese, eh?

Or Chinese style dribbled in soup.

For dessert, flan or creme caramel.

I used to prefer black horn rimmed glasses, beard and a phony plastic nose myself.

Perhaps a little trench coat, tu tu and glass slippers!
