Try leaving it out with a note, or crushed up to an extent. To the sanitation department it remains a recepticle. Help!

  1. I had the same problem. My trash can got ran over and was smashed. The garbage man just left it there for about three weeks, so I just put it in the middle of the driveway and backed over it five or six times (until it didn't even look like it was a trash can) then he finally picked it up. But, I wouln't recommend if you have a metal garbage can. Mine was one of the plastic ones without wheels.

  2. put it in the trash

  3. Inside the new one.

  4. if it's plastic, take a knife to it and cut it into sections.....then trash can it...... if too hard for that, put it into the big trash can with trash in it.... if it won't fit, take a marker and write TAKE on it and sit it on the curb on trash day....if metal hang a sign on it.... or use it in the garden to haul weeds or soil around.....
