How do you dispose of an old broken up camcorder?

My mom took a part her old camcorder and it cannot be used any more because she cut up the metal stuff inside to get the jammed tape out. How do you get rid of it now? You can't just throw it away can you? Thanks in advance =)

You shouldn't throw it in the garbage. Check with your town or city for an electronic waste dropoff. These may be arranged a few times a year in larger communities.

I would just throw it away with the trash that they pick up.  I have done that with several old items.
