How do you divide fractions and mixed numbers?

These two problems are really stressing me out. Please help me.

-12 divided by 1/3

-9/10 divided by -6/15

-12 /  1/3= -12* 3= -36

-9/10 / -6/15=  -9/10*-15/6= 10 becomes a 2 and -15 is a -3 the 6 is a 2 and -9 is a -3=

ans 9/4

Will you need a scientific calculator and am guessing this algebra that's good cuz am in 9th grade and I have algebra 1 honors so i could no.

In your calculator you type in 12 and then it could have a plus sign switching to a negative sign the you click that button and it will show -12 then you find the division button and there is a button that has a b/c click it the first time and then type 1 and click the button again and put in 3 then press enter and your answer could be -36.

Your next problem you find the a b/c button click it once and then put 9 and then the plus switching to a negative sign so it would be -9 and press the a b/c button and put in 10. Find the division button and do the same thing again and your answer could be 2 and 1/4.

1).-12 is the same as -12/1 so your expression is now

-12/1

Now do the recipricle of 1/3 and change the division to multiplication

-12/1 * 3/1

So now you have -12 * 3 = -36 <== That's your answer for the first one!

-6/15

Again change the division to a multiplication sign, and the recipricle of -6/15. So your expression becomes...

-9/10 * -15/6

Now you can solve two ways change the fractions into numbers or solve by multiplying straight across

-9/10 * 15/6

-9 * -15

---------

10 * 6

135/60

Simp.. 2.25 <== That's your answer for the second one!!

Now let's try it the other way.

Turn the fractions into numbers:

-0.9 * -2.5 = 2.25 <== Same answer!!
