How do you do a Fashion Show fundraiser?

I would like to do a fashion show fundraiser at our local mall to raise money for the American Cancer Societys Relay for Life. I was wondering how you would go about organizing this.

First you contact the mall management and get them to agree, and you set a time and date.

Then you contact people who could help you, including:

--a tux rental company (approach the one in that mall first) and a fashionable women's clothier (again, one from that mall is preferable).

--A local modeling agency that will volunteer models--or local celebrities and politicians who will volunteer to model.

Once you have the clothes and the bodies to put them on, you work on scheduling fittings for the models in the stores you're promoting, and you work like a bunny rabbit on publicity.  You especially want the society and entertainment sections of your local newspaper to take notice and give notice, you want flyers, you want mention in weekly activities calendars on your local radio stations if they have one, you want items in the calendars of the daily and free weekly papers (you must get those announcements to them at least 11 days in advance).

And you figure out just how you will collect funds for this.  Will you pass a hat?  Ask the celebrity models for donations?  Raffle something?  Hold a silent auction?  Charge admission (tough to do in a shopping mall unless they give you an empty store front for a night).
