yeah i havent been in alot of fights before and whenever i was i would have my arms all the way up above my head (i know ugly but hey i didnt know how to fight) but now i keep my hands right at my face maybe by my chin/neck... and i wanna know if this is a good fighting stance to keep with... and if not what is? i also heard keeping your head down is a must in fighting (not looking down but having ur head down to the part where its covering your neck) but i wanna know, if you do that how are you gonna be able to look at a dude who might be way bigger then you? so yeah if my fighting stance isnt correct can someone give me some pics or maybe a vid (specifically youtube) showing how to do a correct good fighting stance?

  1. You've got it quite right now.  Also, you should not be presenting your whole body face-on to your opponent.  You should lead with your weaker hand, which is the left unless you are left-handed like me, in which case it's the right.  You turn the weak-hand side of your body toward your opponent.  Then your lowered head is supported a little by your leading shoulder, and protected by both your fists, which are in front of it.  You can still raise your eyes to look at your opponent, but don't raise your head and offer him the point of your chin, or the next thing you will be looking at will be the ceiling or sky.

  2. the correct fighting stance is to face the opposite direction of the opponent and run fast.

  3. go to a boxing gym and learn to box
