First arm bars come from jiu-jitsu or Brazilian jiu-jitsu not the ufc an second there are many different ways to do an arm bar. An arm bar is basically just putting pressure on the elbow so that the arm is straight an bending the arm backwards if your opponent does not tap it will no longer be straight it will be bent backwards.

  3. Bring one hand inside your opponent's (outstretched) left arm while passing your other hand over it. Your palms should now be resting on their chest. This effectively traps the arm keeping it under strict control.

Rock forward onto your arms placing the weight of your body onto your opponent. This traps your foe, allowing you to control them as you maneuver into the next step.

Pinch your knees together (further locking the arm bar) and raise your hips. This will place an unbearable amount of stress on your opponent's elbow joint and may break the arm if done with too much force.

Continue to apply pressure with the arm bar until your opponent taps out.

Pass the right leg over your opponent's head and sit back onto the ground as you hug their arm. Cross your hands at the forearms as you lean back then lock around the arm once your back hits the ground.

Bring your left foot up and place it beside your opponent's hip as you pivot your body to the right. Maintain contact (your hands) with their chest as you finish with your left leg over their chest and right knee (forward) against their head.
